Pumps & Systems Present Next Installment of Live Webinar Series

Birmingham, AL (PRWEB) October 13, 2011

Pumps & Systems, the magazine for pump users worldwide, presents the next edition of its Live Webinar Series on Nov. 10, 2011 at 1 p.m. Eastern. To register for the free Webinar on Redefining Repair as a Failure of Maintenance, please visit http://www.pump-zone.com.

Plant managers and process engineers traditionally assume that pump failures are to be expected and simply a cost of doing business. In fact, only 11 percent of all equipment failures are due to wear?and most failures can be avoided with an appropriate life-cycle-based asset management program.

Tom Dabbs, reliability specialist from the ITT PRO Services organization, will explain how organizations can use improved maintenance to virtually eliminate the need for repairs, instead of living with the results of unplanned failure. He will provide industry benchmarks for equipment reliability and best practices in maintenance that organizations use to achieve those levels.

The webinar, sponsored by ITT Goulds Pumps will also explain other elements of an asset management strategy that lowers life-cycle costs, including organizational structure and the importance of job planning.

Supported by case studies from a variety of industries, Dabbs will give attendees actionable advice they can use to improve pump reliability, lower repair costs and move closer to the goal of zero equipment failures.

The material is geared toward plant managers, engineering/maintenance managers, production/maintenance supervisors, maintenance/reliability engineers and purchasing/accounting/finance managers.

The one-hour event will include a 15-minute live question-and-answer segment.
