-I like adventurous activities like rafting, skydiving, hiking, biking…etc.

-I like beautiful scenery in all forms…architecture, humans, nature.

-I like easy-going people.

-I like emotions and honesty.

-I like music and singing.

-I like hearing people’s inner emotions.

-I like breaking conventional barriers to become the real you.

I don’t know what to study. Should I study Anthropology? Anth does have to do with cultures and I like to travel and observe other cultures so maybe anth is my path. I also like observing human behavior… the way humans are and how they interact with one another. I like emotions as you can see. I want to understand humanity and how cultures are so diverse and yet so similar. I like viewing other countries scenery too, besides observing the people and their culture. I like meeting people, people that are knowledgeable and insightful and are willing to get into discussions.

I have thought of going to a music conservatory for university, but I think I’ll do that after I get a degree in something more stable and practical. What I mean is, music is a tough business.

Help!? Anthropology? I want a job where travel is a feature.

My husband an I were sitting around discussing money. We got on the subject of plumbers and how much they make, because he asked about my uncle and why him and his wife/family were living in such a small house. I told him that, after I finish my degree(s) and eventually find a job, I could be making equivalent to what my uncle makes. He disagrees. So, now we are on the discussion of who would make more in a year: plumber or computer technician?
Went to school for plumbing and own a computer repair shop……WOW borgtj, what area of computers did you go into?

Larry Keim Harlingen Texas wraps up his 3 part series with Executive Zoom by discussing green jobs in the state of Texas.

On February 9 of this year the Texas Workforce Commission announced that they were offering $ 15 million to Texas Employers as incentives for hiring out-of-work Texans. According to Keim this is a good time for those job seekers to look at the possibility of acquiring jobs in the Green Jobs (a.k.a. Green Collar Jobs) industries.

There are several issues to be considerred. First, what defines a green job? Keim says it’s not as complicated as some people make it. “Green jobs have been around for a long time, such as: jobs in air quality; biofuels; renewable energy jobs; green construction jobs; weatherization and much more.”

Special training is required for some of these jobs. Keim says, “Green jobs training is here and more is coming. In Texas two HB 516 & SB 108 bills have been introduced to supplement training.” We found that Texas Governor Rick Perry’s Competitiveness Council stated that 2/3 of new energy sector jobs over the next 10 years would come from renewable energy sector. Keim also pointed at that some certification, specifically LEEDS certification may be required.

Not all jobs are yet available. Keim says that many are available now and others, such as wind power generation, solar energy and smart grid jobs are on the horizon. “The time to prepare is now. The highest paying jobs will be in these areas, where technical and professional skills will be required.”

A New York electrician who suffered a brain injury after falling from a ladder was awarded a $ 5.5 million pretrial settlement. The plaintiff was represented by attorneys Stephen J. Murphy & David L. Scher of Block O’Toole & Murphy, a New York construction accident law firm.

The court granted the plaintiff’s motion for summary judgment on liability, and the parties negotiated a $ 5.5 million pretrial settlement. Astro Electrical’s carrier contributed $ 5 million and FedEx contributed $ 500,000.

The court of record for this case was Kings County Court in New York, Index No. 1643/2006.
